MHY J's Refreshment and Dragon fruit Farm located in Cabadian, Liloan Cebu.

How to get there

1. Head west on Fatima Rd from National Highway

2. Arrive at location: Dragon Fruit Plantation

Google map route: https://maps.app.goo.gl/cP6Ue3DMnZEU4xcQ6

About the farm

Right beside the developed main barangay roads, the farm is very much visible on the roadside. It is impossible to miss. The farm's guest parking lot area is on the opposite side of the road.

Open 9AM to 6PM on Monday to Friday.

Open 7AM to 6PM on Weekends and Holidays.

What to expect

It is not always a guarantee when you visit any Dragon Fruit Farm there are fruits in abundance. Majority of the fruit farms follow harvest schedules. The time I visited the farm, they already harvested a week ago, sold or delivered to their partners somewhere out there. It is best to plan your trip here with harvest schedules in mind.

Elevated destinations in Consolacion, Cebu

There are few new destinations in Consolacion, Cebu you might be interested to check it out.

How to get there

Technically, several routes leading to this place. A maze of barangay roads and mountains are not that difficult to reach this place. If you are a visitor from far away places, there two reliable routes to reach this place.

Route A:  https://goo.gl/maps/MeNEhq6MD15PWtrb6

This is a safer path than Route B. The road conditions are passable. Majority of the roads are cement and asphalt. As of September 2021, there are series of road constructions estimate 90% are cement or asphalt on the mountain areas.  Few rock slides. Few slippery cement.  Many mountain bikers pass here.

Route B: https://goo.gl/maps/AnvMjnkT2m7L4xfa8

Not recommended for new riders. It's shorter than Route A. Passable. As of September 2021 on the mountain areas, there are series of road constructions estimate 100% are cement or asphalt. Few are old slippery cement with algae.  Few broken old road (replaced). Many mountain bikers pass here. Drive with caution specially for first time visitor.

1. Panoypoy Heights

If you take Route B, will see this little signage on a small tree.

I went very early and the establishment is not yet open.  I took some quick snapshots on the area.  They are open 10:00AM in the morning.

2. City Lights - Camp and Diner

Located few meters away from Panoypoy heights.

They featured wide dining deck facing the open horizon of Cebu Metropolis.

Journey

On my way to the destination I can't help myself to take a quick stop and enjoy the view. The are only few spots you can see the horizon such as this. The road is steep, be very careful on your way there.

This is the common views of the barangay roads to Panoypoy. Majority are passable. Nothing much to worry about.

Man-made forest, Camp 7, Minglanilla Cebu

Man-made forest

Not to be confused on the man-made forest in Bohol. This forest is located in Minglanila, Cebu, passing through Toledo-Manipis road.

How to get there

If you are traveling from Cebu city, Your waypoint would be the Tabunok Fly-over bridge / Intersection. Facing south, turn right to the direction to the mountain ranges head towards Toledo-Manipis Road.  In rainy season, the path is prone to landslide, rockfalls.and slippy cement roads.  It is recommended travelling there with precaution or travelling on dry season.

What to bring/prepare

Food and water. Even though there are handful restaurants or karenderias are available along the road. If you are in a tight budget, bringing your own food and water is also good.

EVO Nature Camp, Camping site in Cebu, Philippines

A Camping site!

EVO Nature Camp is a camping ground located in Gaas, Balamban. An outdoor creation venue, with hiking trails, panoramic flower garden, playground, and parking spaces for guests.   EVO Nature Camp offers a grill house with an alfresco dining.

How to Get there

It may take some time to reach the location, but your waypoint is JY square in Lahug, then going up pass the mountains through Transcentral Highway (TCH highway 815). Estimated 45 to 50 minutes travel from JY square to Ga-as, Balamban, Cebu.   With the challenging distance and elevation from the main city, I recommend to call or make reservations on EVO Nature Camp just to be sure your journey would not put in vain.

Modes of transportation

For a group of guests, the possible mode of transportation would be on Van or any 4 wheeled vehicle that can go up the mountain highway.  The safest and reliable mode of transportation.

For adventurous guests using two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) is also possible.  Motorcycle taxi (habal-habal) is also available near JY square. It takes some negotiation skills and make deal with the driver. Be sure to ready your endurance  on riding motorcycle going up the mountains.
